Redwood Unified School District is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to serve students at Maple Creek Middle School in Sacramento. You will provide comprehensive school counseling services aligned with the ASCA National Model, supporting student academic achievement, social-emotional development, and career readiness for grades 6-8. This is a full-time, 10-month position.
In this role, you will conduct individual and small group counseling sessions, develop and deliver classroom guidance lessons, collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student support plans, coordinate 504 plans, and assist with transition planning. You will also serve as a member of the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports team.
Applicants must hold a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Counseling. A master’s degree in School Counseling or Clinical Counseling is required. A minimum of 1 year of school counseling experience is preferred. Spanish language proficiency is a valuable asset.
