Apex Capital Group is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance and accounting team in New York City. This is an entry-level role well suited for a recent accounting graduate or early career professional who is eager to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting within a high-growth financial services firm.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with month-end close activities, reconciling bank and investment accounts, processing accounts payable and expense reports, maintaining the general ledger in NetSuite, assisting with audit preparation, and supporting financial reporting for management and regulatory purposes. You will work under the guidance of the Controller and have regular visibility into the firm’s financial operations.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. CPA candidacy is strongly encouraged and the firm provides support for exam preparation. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite or QuickBooks are expected. Strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and a proactive attitude are essential qualities we look for in all accounting hires.
