PrecisionWorks Manufacturing is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily plant operations at our Detroit facility. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for production planning, capacity management, inventory control, EHS compliance, and the continuous improvement of operational processes across all manufacturing departments. You will report directly to the VP of Operations and manage a leadership team of 5 department supervisors.
You will establish operational KPIs, develop and manage the annual operations budget, lead lean manufacturing transformation initiatives, drive cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, quality, and engineering teams, and serve as a liaison with key customers during site visits and audits. You will also cultivate a safety-first culture and lead by example in all areas of operational excellence.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management (MBA preferred), along with 8+ years of manufacturing operations experience, including at least 4 years in a senior management role. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is strongly preferred. Proven experience with lean transformation and OEM supplier relationship management is required.
