Meridian Health Systems is hiring a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support our Revenue Cycle Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding and submitting insurance claims, following up on unpaid claims, and resolving billing discrepancies for our network of outpatient clinics.
You will work closely with clinical staff, insurance carriers, and patients to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Your responsibilities will include reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents, posting payments, identifying denials and appealing as necessary, and maintaining compliance with all federal and state billing regulations including HIPAA.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of medical billing experience, knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems, and proficiency with healthcare billing software such as Epic or Meditech. A Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential is highly desirable.
